After you've made the new Profile, and it's solved your problem (hopefully), come back here and someone will be able to tell you (or direct you to instructions for) how to combine your old profile files into your new profile. Hey, I've created new profile (in default location), but unfortunately it didn't seem to solve the problem. Even after the Adobe program was uninstalled (or after the profile was transferred to a computer that lacked one), SeaMonkey would still know what it knew about the file type (surely Adobe's uninstaller would leave SeaMonkey's files untouched). Of course, once the computer no longer had an Adobe program, opening such a file from SM would force the program to request guidance, as it did. -- War doesn't determine who's right, just who's left. -- Paul B. Seamonkey 2.31 has broken Flashblock.
Something that was changed from 2.30 to 2.31 has broken the functionality of Flashblock. It still blocks flash, when I go to a youtube clip, I get just a black box. I don't get the icon in the middle of it that allows the clip to proceed. It is just completely blocked, with no way to view it. Rolling back to 2.30 restores Flashblock to working order. Any chance of fixing this? ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Some filters have stopped working
Since I upgraded to 2.31, some mail filters have stopped working. This affects many commercials emails, mostly newer ones. However, it had been affecting at least one older mailing list (subject contains List header) and now today one newer mailing list (subject contains List header). I have always had problems keeping my inbox small, but this is suddenly making it worse than ever. Shopping season brings far more commercial mail. While some companies are changing emails/domains, almost all of the ones I have checked have correct, active filters that for some reason are not working anymore, even though they did before. The mailing lists have not changed their subject identifiers, so why are these not working? Flashblock 1.5 can be made to work in SeaMonkey 2.31!
Flashblock 1.5.18 is not Compatible with SeaMonkey 2.31 nor is the older version for SeaMonkey. But it can be made compatible with a few simple steps: 1. go to the Firefox Add-Ons page for Flashblock: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flashblock/ 2. Copy the link to download Flashblock from the button Download Now or use the link I have provided below: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/433/addon-433-latest.xpi?src=dp-btn-primary 3. Go to the Addonconverter page: http://addonconverter.fotokraina.com/convert.php 4. Paste the download link for Flashblock (see step 2 for the link url) into the box below this phrase: or paste direct link to xpi file or full URL of add-on page at https://addons.mozilla.org/:; 5. Click Convert at the bottom of the page and you will be prompted to install Flashblock in SeaMonkey. You can safely ignore the warnings about installing Flashblock. After SeaMonkey restarts you will once again have Flashblock up and running in SeaMonkey. I hope this helps. :) ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
Which SM to get? Win XP3.
SM suggestions wanted. This machine has Windows XP3. Google recently made Maps incompatible with IE8 and I cannot upgrade to IEx. SM1119 has not worked with google maps in years, so it looks like time to upgrade to a newer SM. I don't care about viruses, security, or the latest-greatest thing. What ever I get I will likely stick with for 10 years. Except for gmaps, JS and Flash will be OFF. Any good functional or compatibility reason to get or not to get SM 2.30?
