I used Toolbar Buttons to add Zoom In, Zoom Out, and Reset Zoom

Ctrl + and Ctrl - do work in NG's for me. Win 7 64 bit SM2.39.

The problem was with email. Only View and Zoom will work to change
size?? I
found that CTRL +0 will restore the fonts to normal size but Ctrl +
and Ctrl -
do nothing.

I actively use three different profiles for browsing. I do not use
SeaMonkey for E-mail because I do not want to terminate my E-mail or
newsgroup session every time I switch browser profiles.

I just now tried Ctrl+ and Ctrl- for two E-mail messages in
Thunderbird,
one HTML-formatted and one plain text. It worked for both.

On my Win7 WOW installation of SM 2.39, I just went to my Mail
account,

selected a (previously read) message and tried Ctrl + and Ctrl - and
nothing happened. Changing the View -> Zoom level did change
things, but

still Ctrl + and Ctrl - did nothing.

Didn't try Ctrl 0

CTRL+, CTRL-, and CTRL0 all work for me regardless of which of the
three panes has focus.

Have any of you tried this in Safe mode?

I put the focus in one line of the list and Ctrl +/- works not for the
list, it works only in mail in preview in one of the three panes.

First suspicion is some add-on, an extension or plug-in. Have you
tried it in Safe Mode? I ask again.

Each time we say something there is always one saying "Have you tried it
in Safe Mode?"

And this time i do it in safe mode - SAME PROBLEM
The zoom with Ctrl+/- works only inside a mail even while the focus is
done on the list of mails !!!

I have tested in safe mode . this the last time I do this, because
SM modify my spelling preference ! :-(
Then I re-modify it to fr-classic and it stay in fr-classic, it doesnot
switch again to fr-reform

So my workaround should be re-inverted as standard ...GR.

O.K., just to be "sure", I tried Help->Restart with Add-ons Disabled,
and no change, but then I thought "Hey, I'm using my Laptop, so I'm no
really doing CTRL++ and CTRL+_ but CTRL+= and CTRL+-, so then I tried it
using the shift button, i.e.CRTL+Shift++ and CTRL+Shift+_" .. and
ended up not really sure what I might have been confirming!!

The fonts in the folder pane and the message pane are treated the same
as the fonts in the menu bar, tool bar, pull-down context menus, and
header areas. As I already stated, to change the font for those you can
use the Theme Font & Size extension.

Maybe downloads.sqlite is corrupted? Try removing that file from the
profile (shut down SeaMonkey first). It will be re-created when you
start up SM again.

Seamonkey newsgroup Compose From: field

2015-12-27 Thread Me

Seamonkey v2.39 newsgroup Compose: window, From: field

Seems to be an unwritten law that a space is mandatory between the
poster's name and the eMail address. Sillyness.

e.g. this get messed with
  Me
results in
posters name as
  M

where
  Me
results in
posters name as
  Me

I would think that the < would be a sufficient delimiter.
