Recently, they have not been able to use the search bar on the XFINITY
home page. The only thing that works when searching is images. Using
Chrome & Edge, the search function works as designed. Sam has no unusual

Hard to see what the problem is here. I tried a basic search and got
this:
which is a list of xfinity pages containing the search term "sports."

Is that not what happens on your friend's machine? If not, exactly
what does happen?

From this page: http://www.xfinity.com, the search bar in the middle of
the page - I can duplicate it here on my own system, same as my friend's
machine. Only image searches show results. No web, no TV & movies, no
support, just images works.

Sorry, I see no search bar "in the middle of the page." The only one I
see is at the top right, under "TV, Email, Sign in," between the
shopping cart and "En Español." That's the one I used for my test. I see
no options for searching "web," "TV & movies," or "support," though
there is a "Support" category at top center. Do I have to login first?

This is generally a Yahoo problem:

Give it a few hours or a day and see if the problem clears.

I have no problem using the search bar on XFINITY unless the Javascript
box is unchecked. You might want to make sure that it is checked.
Another test would be to open SM with the profile "Default User" to see
if the search works there. Works for me.

Any ideas? He is using the most current version. Even spoofing FF 40.1

The SeaMonkey engine is Mozilla Gecko.

Is SeaMonkey support all new HTML5 standards?

I'm not sure any browser supports all of them.

Is it migrated to Electrolysis with Firefox:

   https://wiki.mozilla.org/Electrolysis

As far as I know there is no plan to implement Electrolysis in SeaMonkey.

Is it support and will support XUL/XPCOM in a light of deprecation of these
technology in Firefox?

Where is the documentation start page for extension development for SeaMonkey.
I would like to look to API.

Le 13 septembre 2016, SamuelS a écrit :

As of this morning, I Am having challenges with downloading email from Yahoo,
the error message reads:

The POP3 servicer (pop.mail.yahoo.com) does not support UIDL or XTND XLST,
which are required to implement the "Leave on Server", "Maximum Message Size"
or "Fetch Headers Only' options. To download your mail, turn off these
options in the Server Settings for your mail server in the Account Settings
window."

Any ideas or suggestions?

You could access your email through IMAP (which has been supported by
Yahoo for a few years). This requires creating a new account entry in SM,
though. One note however: I'm accessing Yahoo via IMAP with a text-based
mail software, and expunging (compacting) has a glitch whereby the index
is not refreshed immediately; so I make sure to expunge only before I
quit. I don't know if the glitch would affect SM.
