The Obout Window is a web design control distributed by Obout.com for use in
developing apps ... the Obout Window control is used to display a framed window
that shows a web page within the window of a browser's web page ... the message
means that the BookTV app is using the Obout Window control as one of it's
design controls and the control has generated a JavaSCript error because it
could not find a reference to the "wll" object in code ... not sure why the
error occurred, but I use the same control in some of the development apps I
work with and it occasionally generates a "iWindow" is undefined error ... it
appears to be some problem or bug within the Obout Window control.

As of yesterday, this should not happen on any branch anymore, as I have
ported my update-server-fix from the release branch to all the other
branches. So please check if this behavior still really happens, as this
would be unexpected.

The Update NoOp saw was just yet another unofficial "nightly" from the
"release" branch - as they don't change version numbers (to e.g. 2.46.1)
as long as the official version number in that branch was not changed.

NO!! Do not do that. Ray_Net has Windows. Merely deleting the .dll
file will leave any registry entries and various miscellaneous files
associated with the plug-in still on his PC.

Use the Windows "Programs and Features" to remove plug-ins. This is

2.40 is the latest official version. 2.46 is not finished today and not
released!

There exists a lot of different *unofficial* beta, preview and release
candidates of 2.46 version. for example here:

The confusing point is:
On a windows 64bit, if you have installed such a *32bit* preview 2.46 SeaMonkey,
and you click on "Help->Check for update", you will be offered a 2.46 update!

If you accept this update, your 32bit SeaMonkey will be replaced with an
*unofficial* preview 2.46 SeaMonkey, but in *64bit*. Installed in the "old"
directory "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\SeaMonkey\". 64bit versions should be installed
in "%ProgramFiles%\SeaMonkey\".

But it would close the vulnerability in nss. If one would release a seamonkey
let's say 2.40.1 only with the change of nss 3.21.1 the result would be the
same as i described. I didn't mention any bug in the base product. The whole
topic was started with nss and not bugs/sec vuln. in seamonkey.

So keeping SM 2.40 official release without replacing the nss is the worst one
can do at the moment. If you trust an unofficial build (2.46) then install it.
Or copy the dlls as i described.
