Ahh seems he is looking for an easy way out. Lets just punish him worse.
He needs to do the next releases also!

thank you Richmond, but i only see alpha versions in that folder.

my question remains: does seamonkey still follow a release cycle
including public betas ?

I am still using 2.38 as 2.40 had an annoying regression for me,

But - will there be a beta ? 2.38 is 15 months old by now.
Still works wonder for all i can see but security-wise,
this is getting a little old.

There are builds here: (I don't think they are 'unofficial', but they
are for testing.) Scroll down to 2.49a2. I have been using it without

Hi,

There will be betas.. just need the following to happen:

1) 2.46 is released
2) figure out if the next release is a beta (2.48) or
   release (2.47).
3) do a post-mortem discussion as to what the smeg went wrong
with 2.46 and why hell broke loose and if it's the
guy who did the release... he should be sacked!

oh wait.. that's me. *sheepish look* ermm.. umm.. Move
along.. nothing to see here. :P

Seriously, we'll need to do #3 and perhaps we'll need to
repeat the same patches to 2.47 or 2.48. I dunno as
right now, I'm still fighting 2.46...

Thanks for your patience.

Re: Kabyle localization for seamonkey

2016-12-14 Thread Frank-Rainer Grahl

I don't see a source tree for it under:

https://hg.mozilla.org/l10n-central

You might want to ask the listed contacts:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Teams:kab#Kabyle_.28Kab.29

SeaMonkey is just a few directories in the regular l10n tree. It shares
most of its language variables with Firefox.

I was trying both 2.40 and 2.49. OK I have it working now. I had to
install Thunar. I expect it is using the desktop environment settings
and I don't think I actually have one installed.

I wonder why it didn't just use file:/// ?

Try going to [Help > Troubleshooting Information] on the menu bar. Does
the Show Folder button for Profile Folder work there?

Also, what version of SeaMonkey are you using?

SeaMonkey 2.40? That button works just fine using SeaMonkey 2.40
on Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS.

Also there SM 2.40 under WinXP Pro.

Thank you. It does not address what I see as my key problem -
duplicated messages.

*HOWEVER* reading the feature list did break me out of the mental
rut I was in.
When I was looking at Tcl/Tk several years ago, I experimented
with some text manipulation routines. If I can find them, it may
prove useful.
Thanks again.

For duplicates:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Duplicate_messages_received
You can experiment with dupe addons:

Re the last addon see:

Other articles that might be of help/interest:

If you also use linux you could try recoll.

The kb.mozillazine.org links provided two things I was looking
for -- keywords AND links to references with more links.

One of the secondary links pointed to an approach similar enough
to what I was planning to assure me that I wasn't out in left field.

The mention of recoll {http://www.lesbonscomptes.com/recoll/} is
a gem!
That it is a Linux program is no problem as the timing of my
initial post was the move from Windows to Debian ;)
It also solves, admittedly from a different direction, the
problems that had me considering creating a relational database
of emails.

Now I've got to work on something that I said would be done by
the weekend.

Thanks.
