One user not getting Invitations

2021-01-20 Thread Rob Steinmetz
I have a small office and one user is not getting invitations from
Lightning.

Other users with SeaMonkey using the same servers are getting them, hers
just disappear somewhere. I updated to the latest SeaMonkey version on
Windows 10.

Is that toolbar provided by Seamonkey or by Ubuntu? I think you should
be looking at the configuration options provided there rather than by
Seamonkey - my toolbar is courtesy of OpenSuse/KDE and I get pretty well
as much text as will fit down there.

AFAIK Ubuntu doesn't supply SeaMonkey from the main repository or build it.

If we are talking about the Bookmarks toolbar (there are several
toolbars) hovering the mouse pointer over the text in the Bookmarks
toolbar will show a tool tip with all the text.

Which leaves room for more items on the toolbar.

YMMV

I got more room on the toolbar by lowering the font size.
/*
Changes font size for BOOKMARKS TOOLBAR
*/

#personal-bookmarks {
font-size:6pt !important;
}

Well, all of my bookmarks are in folders on the Bookmarks toolbar with
much shortened names by selecting Properties from the right-click
context menu and editing the name.

So, I will stick with the tool tips.

If you're comfortable with editing your "userChrome.css" [1] try:

#PlacesToolbar toolbarbutton.bookmark-item {
  max-width: 18em;
}

Adjust to your needs further. As far as I see the default style [2] is:

toolbarbutton.bookmark-item {
  min-width: 0px;
  max-width: 13em;
}

Yes, the Bookmarks toolbar.

I know about hovering over it. I thought that there may be a setting in
userchrome.css that might achieve it.

Re: Teams in Seamonkey or FireFox?

When I click the link it doesn't even give me the option in SM or
FireFox. Works in Opera but I don't really use Opera.

Microsoft provides this info for "unsupported browsers":
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/unsupported-browsers

According to
, they
support "Firefox, the latest version plus two previous versions" -- no
idea what that actually means, best case 84.0.2, ESR 78, ESR 60, worst
case 84.0.2, 84.0.1, 84.0 -- but not "Calling" and for "Meetings" only
meetings with PSTN coordinates and then with no video or outgoing
sharing. You would have to ensure that 3rd party cookies are accepted,
presumably because Microsoft loves to mash up content from lots of
different domains, all of which are under its control but unrelated to
the domain of the page (see support.microsoft.com after it was broken
several years ago).

The client uses WebRTC which might just work in SM if you install this
extension to enable it

but I fear Teams will also expect other JS APIs that don't exist in SM.

Probably it will be easier for the vendor to use Zoom like the rest of
the known universe, the web client if necessary
, though not
with SeaMonkey.

This extension (which I have not used) may help:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/refined-microsoft-teams/

Again, not with SeaMonkey (yet).
