Re: Adobe Flash player v18.0 b203 plugin crashing?
It seems like Firefox and other Mozilla web browsers are having crashes too. Also, Adobe will be releasing another version this week so I am going to wait. I think this is an Adobe's issue, not Mozilla's and SeaMonkey's. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/07/14/firefox_blocks_flash/ -- Bryan Morris Public Keyhttp://www.pgp.uk.demon.net - 0xCC6237E9 ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Running in the background
I use both Firefox SeaMonkey for different reasons Frequently I try to open one of them to be told it is already running in the background and to close it first. Going to Task Manager sure enough it is I have to close it from there before I can open it -- Bryan Morris Public Keyhttp://www.pgp.uk.demon.net - 0xCC6237E9 ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Re: SeaMonkey 2.9
In message rpwdnt7vs7gu5ebsnz2dnuvz_gqdn...@mozilla.org, Jim Taylor n...@likely.com.invalid writes I think I would uninstall SeaMonkey, uninstall Flash, reinstall Flash, and then reinstall SeaMonkey. Wouldn't uninstalling 2.10 and then re-installing lose all bookmarks passwords etc? Re: Windows 2000 problem
Nope didn't work I installed 2.91 Advanced Category, select Software Installation and then uncheck the Automatically check for updates under SeaMonkey on the right hand side. as advised In spite of this SeaMonkey again updated to v2.10 with the same results I've again reinstalled 2.91 (and incidentally noted that auto update remains unticked)but don't really want to go through this every day :( ---BeginMessage--- In message hl6dnypactoske_snz2dnuvz_tudn...@mozilla.org, Rob Steinmetz notrsteinm...@mindspring.com writes I think the point about Seamonkey not checking the OS Version is a good one. Some software checks and some doesn't. Sometimes software will appear to install (like this one) then not run. Thanks Yes I've now followed Daniel's advice gone back to 2.9.1 which has retained all my settings , bookmarks etc. and unticked auto update but I think, like Firefox it should have warned me about my OS rather than installing and then not working -- Bryan Morris Public Keyhttp://www.pgp.uk.demon.net - 0xCC6237E9 ---End Message--- -- Bryan Morris Public Keyhttp://www.pgp.uk.demon.net - 0xCC6237E9 ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

At the bottom of http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/#2.10 you will find links to all previous versions of SM. Download the version that was working for you (probably SM 2.9.1), install it and set it up to use your current profile, then go Edit-Preferences, expand the Advanced Category, select Software Installation and then uncheck the Automatically check for updates under SeaMonkey on the right hand side. This will leave you with the version of SM that you download! When you are able to update your system, you can update the version. HTH!!
