Attach a Folder?

Is it possible to attach a 20kb Folder containing say 20 *.txt files, 
to a composed message to send??

I would think you'd either have to attach all the folder contents 
individually, or zip the folder then send.

You can't attach a folder because it is not a file. If you click on a
folder to attach it, the content(s) become visible where you can select
some/all to send. Or, you can zip up the folder and attach the zip file.
