Do you have gmail in the "never remember passwords from this site" section? Phil Hmmm . . . AFAIK that section disappeared with the advent of the Data Manager. Anyhow, can't find it. Recently, each time I start Mail I have to enter my GMail password; and there is no option in the password dialog to have SM remember the password as it previously had.
