You might take a look at the Firefox and Thunderbird extension listed on
Phil Chee's xSidebar pages:

http://xsidebar.mozdev.org/

Many of these have been adapted to work with 2.0, even if xsidebar is
not installed.

Hmm..I found Tagzilla and FireFTP - but both of them are broken.
When I start FireFTP and add a new account, it just sits there on
clicking OK.
And Tagzilla's options window shows up as a tiny narrow and empty dialog
with just OK Cancel buttons.

Here's a list of extensions that are working fine for me(from official
addon page as well as xsidebar and emusic on mozdev):

AdBlock Plus,Adblock Plus Element hiding,
Autopager
BugMeNot
Cert Viewer Plus
Down Them All
Greasemonkey
gContactSync
Image Zoom
Jump Link
Lightning
Link Alert
Message Faces
Mouse Gestures Redox
Neo Diggler
Paste n Go
Scribefire
Search engine wizard
Stylish
Tabs open relative
xSidebar

I've subscribed to the feed for Seamonkey 2.0 addons and I keep waiting
impatiently for updates to some of my favorite Firefox/Thunderbird addons.
Some of the ones I'd like are Quote colors, Quote collapse (very good
for reading newsgroups), image toolbar, extended statusbar, download
statusbar and so on.

Impatient people may hack like this ...

Is it possible to hack these to run with SM2.0 by adding an entry for
targetApplication in the install.rdf file?
Something like this:
 em:targetApplication
!-- Seamonkey --
   Description
   em:id{92650c4d-4b8e-4d2a-b7eb-24ecf4f6b63a}/em:id
   em:minVersion1.0/em:minVersion
   em:maxVersion2.1a1pre/em:maxVersion
   Description
/em:targetApplication

... or simply, if lazy *g*, use this Pref ...

- user.js -
user_pref(extensions.checkCompatibility, false);
---

... but this by no means implies that they will work with SM2. It may
be, but it may not and it could even be dangerous.

I can confirm that Quote Colors works in SM2 :-)
Never used the other ones, you have to try it yourself ;-)
DownloadStatusbar is going to come if I'm not mistaken...

Last time I used Quote Collapse it caused major problem for me. So I
don't it it works with SM2 or not

Quote Colors does indeed work You have to go to Quote Colors page and
look for reference at bottom of page to 0.3.b2 then click on the hot
linked item to have it install. You'll have to click a time or two to
get around some warning about possible malicious code. But that goes up
with any Extension or Theme that is not listed on Mozilla website. The
deem anything not on the _Official_ site as Malicious. (suppose they
want to cut down competition :)

need to correct this item:

Quote Collapse does work, if you disable compatibility as Harmut
suggestd, or by using the Mr Tech extension. That is also true of Quote
Colors. The others losted by the OP are not extensions I have used.

I have just finished a working port of download statusbar. I shall

There should be a version of Quote Colours for SeaMonkey 2.0 available
from their website. No idea of the rest.
