Frank, how about File->Save as File and then attach those files to your
new e-mail??

Just as you can drag and drop a file onto the “Attachments:” box at the
top right corner of the Compose window ...

... you can also drag and drop an email from within SM onto the
“Attachments:” box at the top right corner of the Compose window.

Here's a workaround: forward as attachment
(Message | Forward as... Attachment).

You can then edit the subject line, add recipients and message body, etc.

This won't get you a properly threaded message in reply to an incoming
one, but in all other respects it works. It does send your existing
message as an attachment.

Thanx Ed & Paul. This works fine if you know, what you want to attach
before you write your new mailbody. And what do you do if you want to
attach some more mails from different folders ?
The answer I found is: drag & drop the mails to attach from the
thread-pane into the attachment-area of your new mailform.

Apart of the soution mentioned before, I think it would be a very nice
feature for SM if you could select "mailitem" from them attachment-menu
and then you get a new foldetree to navigate to your mail you want to
attach - obviously like it is possible like in M$ Outlook.
Believe me, this would be a benefit, if you have a large foldertree with
tons of subfolders, like me ;-)

It's not in the context menu but it is in the "Message" menu.

Highlight message in folder. Message - Forward As - Attachment.
