As far as I know, there are no plans for a 2.8.1 release. Why are you
expecting
one?

But definitely!

new release.

Testing began 18 weeks ago. Major changes stopped being applied 12 weeks
ago. Minor tweaks stopped 6 weeks ago.

Rostyslaw, given your past posts in here, I think you're treading close
to trolling here. Let's remember that this is a user support group, and

Hopefully never. But chemspills/oilspills always come unexpectedly.

Just submitted an interface bug, per request/suggest. Thought it may
have been an issue related to the non-opening of links and/or html files
directly, but it's a new one.

SM 2.8 Mac is not returning to Open when Minimized to the Dock and a new
link or file is opened - works fine on my 2.7.2 installs.

Bug #735946.

Perhaps a bug fix-up release. Hopefully not a chem spill release.

Under the release train system, the only reason for a 2.8.1 release
would be an oilspill/chemspill -- that is, a fairly serious bug that
CANNOT wait for the next release. If the problem is deemed not worthy of
an oilspill, it will be held to the next train. That's how it works.

I don't. It's not my job, I don't have a Mac to test it, I have no
*informed* opinion about it.
