Wow. Isn't there a known bug in macOS Mojave with SM?

I now deleted the webappsstore.sqlite file, and will monitor its size (after
deleting and restarting SM it's 950 KB).
The real problem is the RAM usage. No other issues, apart I can't add a photo to
the Photo application with drag-n-drop from an email message (but this is not a
Mojave bug, it's a SM one since about 3 releases ago).

Firefox had a problem with download and other dialogs not working in 10.14. I
tried with SeaMonkey 2.49.4 and didn't encounter it but...

Anyway I backported the fix to 2.49.5 and 2.53.

Unoffical releases here:

http://www.wg9s.com/comm-esr/

No estimate for an official 2.49.5 yet. New infra is still not ready.

I didn't see any problematic memory usage but if you don't use and ad and/or
script blocker it wouldn't wonder me.

Thanks. Did you have any side effects by disabling DOM storage? Slower

DOM storage is part of the spec. We can't just junk it. There is at least one
bug open but I was unable to reproduce it so far:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1305624

It is valid but somewhat rare. There is at least one other bug report about
storage not cleared. When I find some time I will look into it. The apis
changed and even Firefox didn't clear everything until recently.

Well, unless you have to do it repeatedly, you can just search the
filename in Windows Explorer and delete them from there (CTRL-A will
select them all at once). It goes pretty quickly if you search within
the Mozilla directory instead of your entire hard drive.

In my primary profile, it is 1.09 MB. I delete webappsstore.sqlite from
all profiles each week before doing a total system backup. If the file
does not exist, a new version will download when I next launch SeaMonkey.

Download from visited web sites? Is that why I was having issues with
FlickMetrix since it had a old version in this big file?

No. I think webappsstore.sqlite is downloaded from a Google server
during initialization immediately after you launch SeaMonkey.

https://www.google.com/search?q=webappsstore.sqlite says DOM.

29.8 MB in my case.

Wow, yours is big too. When was the last time purged it?

How to purge it ?
And what could be a side-effect of purging it ?

(Delet/Renam)ing webappsstore.sqlite file with SM closed. I haven't see
any side effects except https://flickmetrix.com worked again with its
results. From what I read online, it just DOM cached stuff from web sites.
