Re: Sending of password did not succeed.

2012-06-18 Thread Dave Taylor
I can see the mail on Yahoo's website (Ctrl+1) but not in the Seamonkey Mail
and Newsgroups window (Ctrl+2).

My wife has the same problem on her laptop with WinXP SP3 and Seamonkey.
Intermittent problem.

All mail loads instantly and reliably into the iPads.

Please clarify -- are you talking about downloading POP mail to SeaMonkey
Mail, or are you talking about viewing messages in webmail?

Your message is confusing on this point.

Sending of password did not succeed.

2012-06-17 Thread DaveInTexas
I had been seeing this message on and off for a few months and it
would always seem to self-correct and the mail would load into
Seamonkey just fine.

Then it would not self-correct a few times but as soon as I logged
onto the mail server site (sbcglobal is actually owned by yahoo now)
[I realize its all ATT now], it would immediately start to load the
mail. So I figured it was a security test that Yahoo had installed,
if you don't log in periodically you can't download mail to your
browser or something. Maybe they just wanted the chance to show you
some ads, I didn't know but the workaround was going OK.

Now it has been three days and Seamonkey will not load mail to the
browser. I get the error in the Subject bar above, then the option to
try again or re-enter the PW would appear next. Neither is successful
at fixing it.

I have not changed my PW during all this. It is the correct one; it's
what I use to log in to see my mail on the Yahoo site.

Seamonkey 2.10.1 updated yesterday.
WinXP Pro

Thanks.
