How to fix this?


For those getting SeaMonkey from mozilla.org, prior versions only required gtk2,
while 2.49.1 requires gtk3, which you may never have needed before now. 'sudo
apt-get install libgtk-3-0' may be all you need to do.



If you use the Ubuntuzilla PPA the upgrade works without a hitch. Just 
upgraded to 2.49.1 on Ubuntu 16.04
