The following works for SeaMonkey 2.49.5 under Windows 7. Something
very similar should work for your SeaMonkey 2.53.2 under your Windows
10. It takes two settings.

First setting:

1. On the SeaMonkey menu bar, select [Edit > Preferences].

2. On the left side of the Preferences window under Category, select
[Browser].

3. On the Browser pane, select the Set Default Browser button.

4. On the Preferences window, select the OK button to close the window.

Second setting:

1. In Windows 10, launch whatever corresponds to the Control Panel.

2. On the Control Panel window, select Default Programs.

3. On the Default Programs window, select "Set program access and
computer defaults".

4. On the Set Program Access and Computer Defaults, select the radio
button for Custom.

5. On the Custom pane under "Choose a default web browser", select the
radio button for SeaMonkey and then the OK button.

6. Close the Default Programs window.

THANK YOU for the step-by-step detailed instructions. It Worked!!

Is Edge your default browser? If so, set SeaMonkey as the default.
