SM 1.1.18
Mac OS 10.6.4
I have a number of messages in 14 topically-named folders, sub to Inbox.
Is it an IMAP or POP account?
“pop.gmail.com“
So it appears a Gmail account. Do you find your messages in the
All Mail folder while you access it through the Web interface
https://mail.google.com/mail/#all? If you find them there you
could copy them back to the Inbox.
This morning I opened SM and one of those folders had perhaps 180
messages that have disappeared in the last day or so. It now has only 10
messages, where it had in excess of 180 before today.
Those messages are not in Trash.
Check your account's Disk Space settings...
It has been instructed to save the latest 500 messages.
...and the individual folders' Retention Policy - you might have set
some expiration criteria.
That’s something I have no idea how/where to check.
From the context menu of each folder (right-click) choose
Properties In the Folder Properties dialog select the
Retention Policy tab.
Is there any way I can refresh the folder content, and have them
reappear?
It seems some of the other folders have fewer total messages as well.
Please advise what might have happened and how to restore folder
content, if possible.
See if this might help:

Soon as I send this message, I will go to the above URL and check it out.
I’ll report back.

That will take conssiderably more study. Thanks for the site. I will
work with it and see what I can glean from it.
I appreciate the assistance.
