I get a message that the folder is being updated and I should wait to get emails, but one email (the same one, repeatedly,) is all I ever get, yet when I go to my ISP website there are many new emails on their server. I don't seem to have any problem receiving usenet items. Where should I look for a solution? When SM has finished trying to collect your e-mails, could you try File->Delete Trash then File->Compact Folders and then try to download you e-mails again?? Normally, SM downloads all you e-mails into a file called "Inbox" (without the quotes) and these emails are indexed in a file called "Inbox.msf". When you delete an e-mail, it isn't really deleted, it's just marked for deletion and doesn't show up in your inbox any longer. It is not actually deleted until you do what I suggest above. It maybe that your SeaMonkey is having probs because the files have gotten too large. If this doesn't fix your problem, report back and someone might suggest something else to try. After posting here I got through to my ISP and they checked to insure that they were not blocking anything. I then deleted many posts from their servers, and when I returned to Sea Monkey a bunch of new postings had arrived. I thought I had fixed it, but the problem recurred a couple of hours later. It appears to have resolved now, again, but I'm going to go ahead and delete the trash and compact the folders. Some one is sending you a piece of email with bad header info. Or they have caught a Bug. I had a Cousin send me a Post and it multiples to a 1000 post in one day. I ended up have to place a Block on his email and contact him he took is computer in for service. Turns out it had a piece of Malware attached that infected his ISP's Server. They removed the malware and fixed his mailbox. -- Phillip M. Jones, C.E.T.
