Unexperienced people tend to destroy things there and as there is a clicky-clicky solution build-in, why not use it before finding akward keys stored in the deep waters of the registry... If so, double click on the local html file to open the page in the browser open the page in the browser, from which you can go File>>Edit Page to open Composer.
