Learn how to grow mushrooms outside using sawdust spawn. In this workshop
we'll teach how to make totems to grow oyster mushrooms and wood chip beds
for wine caps (stropharia). Each participant will take home a pre-cut
log (9-12"
diameter, 27-32" long) and sawdust spawn to make their own oyster mushroom
totem. We'll also provide handouts on both methods.

The workshop will be taught by SUNY ESF student Kayo Green, who has studied
fungus-soil relations and former Extension Educator Jessica Maxwell, who
has been cultivating log and wood chip grown mushrooms for almost 10 years.

Three strains of oyster mushroom spawn will be available; choose your
prefered strain when registering. Register early for widest selection!
