Not even wrong! You'd be better off mailing me a check for $100 and
I'll voodoo your car into better fuel economy.

Fuel pills were recently discussed in topic 'BioPerformance' and a
search of the archives brings it right up.

2006-06-12 Thread Lugano Wilson
hi Roy, in a short period of time it is possible to achieve a 7 - 10% fuel saving in such asimple retrofitting. however, such holistic approaches are difficult to share their confidence due to complications that can develop in a long run. i wonder how will the metal surfaces transform to which alloy, the tolerances from possible depositions and also taking into considerations of wide possible fuel(s) quality etc. this kind of an INTRUSION technology is relatively difficult to retreat in case of any seriously developing problem. i have noticed other non-intrusion technologies like FuelMax that i think it is possible to achieve such savings without not so serious imposed negative probabilities. the general engine combustion improvement technologies that one has confidence in should base on techniques such as fuel_air mixing improvement, the swirls, chamber temperature, residence time, etc.

Nice application of semi-el-cheapo stainless steel drums. You can certainly
throw a band heater on, or a hot water element in, that puppy.

Possibility for easy containment of methanol fumes.

Wash is kept separate from the reactor. Pump can still be fouled by using it
for both purposes though. A separate pump would be an improvement.

worry about tinkering. and putting together their own plant. As far as the value?
his starting price is not very much over cost if he uses off the shelf parts
and his buy it now price looks like a very reasonable amount of profit for his
work.
I would say if you just want to jump in and start producing biodiesel in a day

It requires installation of a tank, plumbing, valves and a fuel mixer.
The onboard computer will have to be reprogrammed for the different
combustion characteristics, but this is not difficult. Here in British
Columbia, a once thriving conversion industry has been nearly killed by cheap
gasoline.

 can it
be done on modern fuel injected cars?

Absolutely. In some ways, the conversion is superior with a closed loop
system than back in the dark ages when the fuel mixer simply replaced a
carburetor.

 what are the
 performance differences, and pollution differences?

You will lose about 10% of your power and fuel economy, unless you
increase your compression pressure. As for pollution, there's very little
difference in pollution on a modern, computer controlled engine, but a
properly tuned propane engine should run cleaner. You will have longer
engine life and cleaner oil with a gaseous fuel too, for all that's worth.
