Anheuser Busch does virtually nothing that is
contrary to netting a dollar.

True -- They've even gone so far as to convince their
customers that beer is made from rice!!

I think that their position is 2 fold.

 any
future litigation regard potential ill effects

drinking their brew containing such additives.

The second, may be, just may be, that they have a

Surely you jest on that last line. Anheuser Busch
 does virtually nothing
that is contrary to netting a dollar. If they really
 had a social conscience
they wouldn't be brewing rice beer and they wouldn't
 be pumping millions of
dollars into ONDCP with a strong penchant towards
 erradication of cannabis
sativa, in both it's industrial and smokeable
 varieties.

As well, take a look at their marketing schemes and
 tell me their
objectification of women is evidence of a social
 conscience. The more
cleavage and thinner the thong the better, all to
 snag the eye of male
passers-by of all ages and generate a twisted
 association between physical
attractiveness and their product. While they are
 far from the only firm
that does this, being one of thousands certainly
 isn't a mark of social
conscience. Mainstream, sure. But miles away from
 the cutting edge of social
 responsibility.
