We've written a Firefox Extension that displays the AS Number of every
website visited along with some additional interesting
 information. All
data is updated daily and the prefix to AS number mapping is
 from a DFZ
 BGP feed.

You can download the extension here (a screenshot is available too):

  http://www.asnumber.networx.ch

If you have any feedback, comments or feature requests please contact
me either directly or at [EMAIL PROTECTED]. We are
 working on providing
a lot more information on the RIR IP address delegations but
 need fully
access to all RIR's whois records for that. I've completed
 all paperwork
last week and we should receive full access in the near
 future. Another
thing I want to do is to show the number of RBL (Spamhaus, etc) listed
 IPs per AS.

Anybody else noticed BGP flaps on the TIX?
We lost several sessions between 17:46 and 17:47 (MET) today, then
sessions coming and going until most stabilized around 20:22.

Maybe it was our router, but curiously the other sessions on that
router somehow survived (SwissIX and Telia), so I'm suspecting some
kind of instability on the TIX fabric.

I agree to be hard and consequent.
But i think 3 working-days would fit better.

My 2 Cents...

RE: [swinog] X.21, V.35 Cisco Interface in Master Mode

2005-09-02 Diskussionsfäden Güntensperger , Robert
Hi André

We've used this several times for customer connections at TIX.
You need on one side a DTE and on the other side a DCE cable.
As soon as the DCE cable is connected, can you set the clock rate on this I/F.

Is anyone of you running a Cisco with X.21 or V.35 interface in
master mode (the Cisco is supplying the clocking on the line).
Normally the modem (DCE) supplies the line clock to the Cisco.

I'm interested in (production) cases where you had to supply the
clock from the cisco to the other side.
