Hi Guys Does anybody know of a solutions to integrate Skype in Cisco VOIP environment? I am also looking for a solution to get MS Communicator users to chat with skype users, any ideas? Although skype is funny, see online status and have a chat, it's not a real phone-solution. Someone ever did transcontinental calls? 400ms+ rta? The good old ISDN is much better :) And if you dont like fiddeling around with ISDN and swisscom and so on, get yourself a good internet connection (0% packetloss :)) and try one of the SIP providers near you (like http://e-fon.ch). Some of them having quite interesting prices, and if needed, extra-features (like web-based pbx-config, iax trunks, etc). My favourite solution still would be more users using asterisk DUNDI peer to peer number lookup. I once had 100Fr./Month free Swisscom calls. So I started announcing the whole Swiss FixNet ranges. To my knowledge DUNDI is just meant for usage with your own numbers. People starts to understand why the call prices are not the same between the two services. Reliability is also one factor that has its price... But I would not be as definitive as Xaver, probably the issue is not related to the modern computer systems but to the service provider itself (young Skype vs old old Telco). It does indeed not look like they have the outage under control yet... Sorry Yann, It isn't only the difference between Skype and Telco. Whe have had internal an old TVA (mechanic). Since 1 Year we have a Siemens Hicom system. The old is now running by my brother. and it is working fine. (since 10 years now) The Hicom, has everytimes problemes. Sometime the Phones doesn't ring etc. I wan't say all computersystems are garbisch. But the Software on many Systems are not verry good tested. You see self. Update on a router... Router is down.
