After that, I've been playing with it and thinking further: 1) the usage of colors(red and blue) of icon seems inconsistent with the one of animate mode button. Regarding the colors usage, there were some discussions before in our forum.[2] 2) the offset widget is hidden by default, and shows when user enable jack by toggling Jack Button (now it is toggle button). one canvas window, offset widget will short the timeline widget, it is not good but still not bad from usability's perspective. But when it behaves quite negatively on Preview Window, when user trying to enable Jack, the offset widget will shift the Jack button suddenly: you click it, and it moves out of your pointer. If we show offset widget by default, it eats too much space of canvas window toolbar. On preview window, it is not a big deal, so how about just showing offset widget by default on preview window, and keeping it hidden by default on canvas window toolbar. I personally don't like this solution, it makes same control has different UX. So there is one proposal comes in my mind, it would be (I hope) much simple and clear if we use adjustment widget and a drop-down instead of a dial widget (a toggle button combining with offset widget). You can refer to Zoom Level widget in Preview Window [3]. When the value of adjustment is set to (Mute), the Jack is disable, otherwise, it will be enabled and be offset to corresponding value.
