A little more on the Ellicottville tragedy too.

Jim Ralston, race director of the Oct. 21 Casino Niagara International
Marathon, made it official last week. He announced the marathon will be held
completely in Canada and won't be coming over the Peace Bridge, citing the
additional strain the race would put on customs and immigration agents
already working long hours because of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The Detroit Free Press Marathon has been similarly impacted, and will not run 
through the tunnel to Canada this year. A new course, completely in the Motor 
City, has been designed.
