t-and-f: NCAA XC TV coverage
We rarely have anything good to say about TV coverage on this newsgroup, so let me offer this: I thought Fox's coverage of the NCAA XC champs was great! I just got around to watching my tape of it, and was really impressed. My only complaint is that it didn't air closer to the meet -- if Fox would have shown it, say, the day after, I would have gladly avoided seeing the results for 24 hours so that I could watch it with a little suspense. That men's race was a barnburner. As for what actually appeared on the screen: Well done. Walt Murphy’s News and Results Service X-Country X-Press The first airing of the NCAA Div.I X-Country Championships will be January 8 at 3pm(EST) on Fox Sports Net. There will be multiple showings during January, but those details aren't available yet. (Runners World Online is listing Dec.5, but I'm pretty sure that's incorrect)
