Rather than get into the discussion, I will verify that yes the Trials were in Buffalo in 84, there was no prize money, and yes it was warm and humid (which is probably why I beat the altitude trained guys). Prize money would have been nice, but representing my country was more important. In 88 there was prize money and I prepared and raced just as hard-no more and no less. Cheers,
