Re: [Tagging] Newspaper classified ads office?

2016-08-06 Thread John Willis
If it is a branch of the paper, I would somehow tag it with the newspaper's
information.

If it is a third party shop, office=advertising? Ad agencies, graphic design,
sign makers, etc and marketing people in general must have an office type
somewhere.

[Tagging] Newspaper classified ads office?

2016-08-06 Thread Michał Brzozowski
There's an office that enables people to make classified advertising
in a few local newspapers. I guess there's no exstisting tag for it?
What would you suggest?

[Tagging] Hot to tag a mortgage broker

2016-08-06 Thread Mike Thompson
What is the recommended way to tag a "mortgage broker", e.g. [1]. These
are businesses where one can get a loan to buy a home, but they are not
banks.

Re: [Tagging] leisure=track on areas?

2016-08-06 Thread Bjoern Hassler
Dear all,

would somebody be able to post a few areas or relations that they consider
well tagged as leisure=track? I'll add those to the wiki.

It would be good if the wiki had some examples concrete, so people can look
them up, rather than randomly looking at tracks (with possibly conflicting
usage). I recently tried to help an OSM newcomer map sports-related
objects, and the first ones that we came across (via overpass-turbo) didn't
even follow the wiki recommendations. So it would be great to have 2-3
examples, that people who have thought about this consider well tagged.

I've got a messy and half-finished "Guide to mapping King's Cross
Underground" here http://bjohas.de/wiki/Maps/Kings_Cross to illustrate what
kind of information I think is useful. It obviously needs finishing, and
trimming down to be usable, but I'm trying to add a reasonable amount of
detail so that others could follow this to map other stations.

Many thanks!
Bjoern

Incidentally, I tagged one yesterday with area=yes and josm warned that
"area=yes is superfluous for leisure=*". I left the area tag there because in
my mind it isn't clearly established yet.
