I would tag them as to what they are being used for. I googled the two terms,
and some people use them for sheds, garages, homes, etc. if they have no front
or back sides, use building=roof, otherwise tag current usage. An old shipping
container might be a shed or a garage or a few together could be a home - we
wouldn't tag a shed, a garage, and. A home the same merely because it is the
same materials. There some tag about the construction, materials, shapes,
historic/previous use, but all of that is secondary to me as to what it is
doing now.

I know Martin and others have talked about tagging buildings that have been
repurposed - but a Quonset hut has always been a multipurpose structure, so
unless there is some building:design=Quonset scheme, I am not sure you will
have to define that it is a Quonset hut.

Hi,
how about building=shed + building:material=steel? If you look at what
Wikipedia says about sheds, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shed, they
come in various shapes and sizes.

As for the round shape, I guess you could use building:levels=0 +
roof:levels=1 + roof:shape=round, and roof:direction as appropriate:
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:roof:direction. In this case you
would probably also want to use roof:material=steel instead of
building:material=steel. This is just a wild guess though - I'm pretty
sure the building:levels and roof:levels aren't intended to be used this
way.

Same here. But if someone wants to make a tagging system, I'll get be my advice
and toss them a yes vote if it isn't breaking something - because it obviously
means something to them if they are making a proposal and asking people for
feedback.

My error:

usage=tourism seems to be correct

On the OpenRailwayMap map usage=tourism is listed under Infrastructure
not Railway lines/routes so seems appropriate for my case.

Well, the track IS operated, so the fact that it used to be part of
a larger network is less important than its current condition.
So I would tag the track railway=rail with the usual additional
tags for name, operator, gauge etc.
It is used purely for tourism, so usage=tourism would be added.
Now I would look at the inventory of that line: Do they still use
historic equipment, maybe from the time when this used to be part of a
larger network? If so, historic=railway would be tagged. Are the
tracks
and signaling still preserved from the days of the old network or have
they been renewed with current equipment? If preserved, add
railway:preserved=yes.

"Only' is a very hard thing to be certain of.

I think that a softer word can be used to make assessment easier?

usage=tourism is used for railways that are mainly used for tourism ?

Most passenger railways are mainly used for commuters.

yes, and there are many more. Beer in bottles, from the tap? Which brands? Is
the tiramisu "homemade" or from a pastry shop or deep frozen from an industrial
factory? pasta homemade or not? Is the fish fresh or deep frozen? Which brand
of coffee? Is there a coffeemachine? Does the restaurant charge a table fee?
There's a lot of possible detail that might be important or not, I would mostly
not tag these details but wouldn't mind if someone else does.
