Nevertheless, editors should be improved to let users edit simpler things than relations for type=node to be usable. I may recommend Marc marc approach in this proposal, and wait for a wider support to map sharing-pole distribution points as node relation. Anyway, it's not specific to telecom distribution points. [Tagging] Several different boxes on the same pole
Hi all, Regarding this proposal for telecom distribution points, currently RFC : https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Telecom_distribution_points Situations may be found involving several of those boxes on a single pole. This happen especially when FTTx (optical fibre) networks are rolled out in parallel of existing older copper ones. You'll find an old copper box and a more recent fibre one on the same pole connecting households. Those two boxes will be hard to describe on the same node, although they can be located on the same pole. Should we recommend to put as many nodes as required around the pole or choose another option? Let me know if you have ideas All the best François ___ Tagging mailing list Tagging@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging
