Hi Paul., The flag of this discussion is IMHO not the question, but more about the source. Like you stated there are a lot of objects without a page, so lets stop announcing Wikipedia & Wikimedia as reliable sources, but name them for what is is second hand information. Which is not usable for OSM, that florish by first hand information found or seen on the spot by a surveying mapper.
