Thanks everybody for confirming what I thought & offering a possible
alternative - I'll pass that on to the mapper concerned.

Just to clarify though?

If things are tagged as "Proposed", they will then disappear off the map
completely, or will still be visible "greyed out" or something?

somehow official plans always change something, because people react 
accordingly, but it doesn’t mean that something will be built or that it is 
easy to detect the influence of a proposal.

 I agree with that policy, but some people really like to map proposed features.




In that case please use proposed prefix and add source for claim that it is 
proposed.




Source is necessary as some people like adding their personal project or ideas 
and even

many official plans never result in anything changing on the ground.

But I'm going to guess that the mapper will be unhappy when all of the 
proposed wharfs and routes disappear from the map.


Better than total removal.
And most maps then shows what exist for present use rather than 
directing people to things that are not there.
