Maybe we should create a Redmine ticket to store this patch for when it will become relevant? Do we have anything related to the build on Wheezy in Redmine? ___ Tails-dev mailing list Tails-dev@boum.org https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-dev To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to tails-dev-unsubscr...@boum.org.

Too much overhead - let's just leave it; nothing is broken right now and it's unlikely to be break silently in the future. :) Regards, -- ,''`. : :' : Chris Lamb `. `'` la...@debian.org / chris-lamb.co.uk `- ___ Tails-dev mailing list Tails-dev@boum.org https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-dev To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to tails-dev-unsubscr...@boum.org.

Re: [Tails-dev] Avid Fan
Hi Sajolida, Ahh that does make sense. What about similar software that would meet compatibility, security & efficiency standards? If that would even be beneficial to us as Tails users. I know this question might sound off subject, but what is your opinion of TrueCrypt? I know it was discontinued but after the audit for 7.1 it showed no critical issues. Curious to see what an expert might think =) Best, Tim On Thu, Sep 10, 2015 at 6:51 AM, sajolidawrote: > Tim Almond: > > Hi Tails Devs, > > > > My name is Tim Almond and I'm a huge fan of your work with Tails OS. > > Hi Tim, thanks for your support. > > > I was doing some research and I ran across keystroke encryption. Re: [Tails-dev] [Review] Adding laptops which don't shutdown properly
Hi, sajolidawrote: > > But I was wondering how relevant it is to add computers there, as that > > list might never ends, wrt. to UEFI hardware? > > I think it's fine. In the current state of Tails, it is impossible for an hardware boot in UEFI mode to shutdown properly. Perhaps saying this like that is easier, as the same hardware can boot in several modes. For instance, most MacBookPro will boot in BIOS-emulation mode from DVD (and shutdown properly), but in EFI mode from USB and fail to shutdown. In some PCs there is a firmware menu setting.
