Ouch, indeed! Thanks for notifying me!

Done!

Totally! I realized I was late, and didn't even think about the proper
procedure at the time, just to get the schedule out as fast as possible. And --
surprise! -- stressing through it also fucked it up. Sometimes I wish I was a
better (or at least more consistent/disciplined) documentation-to-work
compiler. :)

Thanks again!

Thanks. Georg has only added us to the loop :)

We don't, and I think we'll skip that Tor Browser update.

Cheers!

By the way, we also are planning to have a Tor Browser release on Monday
next week.

The main change will be:
https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/23258
https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/21270

I don't remember if Tails is doing add-on updates. If not, then I think
it should not be affected by the https-everywhere issue.

Ouch, I think this release schedule is wrong, since the next Firefox
release is scheduled on 2017-09-26 ⇒ please adjust our own release
schedule accordingly. (The sooner the better, since at least I will
have to reorganize my plans accordingly to cope with a shorter release
cycle than expected.)

Might it be that you skipped reading
contribute/working_together/roles/release_manager?

I've just updated our calendar with all the other future, already
known release dates.

Cheers!

2017-08-30 Thread anonym
Hi,

I'll be the release manager for Tails 3.2, which is a major release scheduled
on 2017-10-03. The list of tickets targeting Tails 3.2 can be found here:

https://labs.riseup.net/code/projects/tails/issues?query_id=198

Whoops, there are 182 of them right now! :S I suppose (hope!) there is some
triaging about to happen post-summit!

Below you'll find the preliminary release schedule for Tails 3.2:

* 2017-09-20:
   - Feature Freeze: All feature branches targeting Tails 3.2 should
 be merged into the `devel` branch by noon, CEST. I'm open to make
 exceptions if you can be online and responsive during that
 afternoon, but ask me first!
   - Build and upload Tails 3.2~rc1.
   - Start testing Tails 3.2~rc1 during late CEST if building the image
 went smoothly.

* 2017-09-21:
   - Finish testing Tails 3.2~rc1 by the afternoon, CEST.
   - Release Tails 3.2~rc1.

* 2017-10-02:
  - All branches targeting Tails 3.2 *must* be merged into the
`testing` branch by noon, CEST.
  - The upcoming Tor Browser is hopefully out so we can import it.
  - Build and upload Tails 3.2 ISO image and IUKs.
  - Hopefully start testing Tails 3.2.

* 2017-10-03:
  - Finish testing Tails 3.2 by the afternoon, CEST.
  - Release Tails 3.2 during late CEST.

Testers, please let me know:

* if you are available on 2017-09-20, late CEST

* if you are available on 2017-09-21, morning to afternoon, CEST.

* if you are available on 2017-10-02, late CEST.

* if you are available on 2017-10-03, morning to afternoon, CEST.

Cheers!
