Re: [GTALUG] Anyone using React Native?

That's probably _not_ a react problem.

I highly recommend using certbot for real "auto maintained" good , valid
certs for servers and make your TLS problems go away.

[GTALUG] Anyone using React Native?

2018-05-02 Thread William Witteman via talk
I was hoping to poke at React Native a little bit, but I have been
having no end of trouble getting anything Node to work.

Specifically, I keep getting CERT_UNTRUSTED errors when I do anything
with npm in front of it.

I am using Debian testing. If anyone is using it, I'd love some pointers.

Thanks!

Where did the package come from? It seems like a dead project. Debian
dropped the package a number of years ago, and it appears Ubuntu did too.
It may just not work anymore if it is no longer being maintained.

From what I can find, Gerbera replaced mediatomb and is available
to install.

No idea what Beaver is. Did Ubuntu wrap the alphabet or something?

Files in /etc/init.d don't really do anything unless there is a link
to them from /etc/rc#.d for the runlevel, assuming the system is using
runlevels. If it uses systemd then it might do it based on other
conditions, or use a .service file instead.

[GTALUG] Upgraded to Beaver and Command Line Says 'command not found'

2018-05-02 Thread Stephen via talk

The program I wish to run is mediatomb

The file is in /etc/init.d/

Samba started fine.

Apache did not.

Things look fine, but I am a novice with with. Never had a problem to
diagnose before.

Help appreciated!
