Hi,
I have installed WLM 2012 on a new windows 10 PC with Windoweyes.
I did not find a newer version - acces to the menue structure is very poor I
did not find a set file or app to improve situation.

Reading and sending mail is no problem.
On my old - Vista - PC I used Outlook Express with no problems.
Please advise.

Re: Windows live mail question

2016-01-26 Thread Lloyd Rasmussen via Talk
You can turn browse mode off with ctrl-shift-A, then shift-tab to the
attachment name. You must then route the mouse pointer to that name and
right-click that button. This is one case where the context-menu key doesn't
do the same thing. This is problematic if there are multiple attachments,
because Live Mail calls the list of attachments a slide show.
But I just rechecked and see that if I hit Alt-7 twice, I can use the right
and left arrows to select the buttons that represent each of the files. I
still must route the mouse pointer to the appropriate button and right-click
it to get a context menu that includes "open".

I'm curious to know why some links behave like this for me in Firefox,
and not others.

One example of this kind of link is found at
http://ocado.com
A UK supermarket site.
Wade through all the rubbish at the top of the page until you get to the
"log in" link. For me, this link does nothing when I press enter on it,
but it works in IE.

Any thoughts?

Flash problems

2016-01-26 Thread Simon Cavendish via Talk
Hi,

I'm doing a course on the internet, and the the course is designed with a lot
of flash in it. Both content as well as question and multiple choice answers
are rendered via flash. When I press the link which displays flash content, I
can't read any content at all. Window-eyes says that it is flash document but
that's it. I can't use my cursor keys, no content is accessible. My worry is
- having done some research on the web - that it is badly designed flash
content in which case I've basically had it, I won't be able to complete the
course. Unless there's something I can do to make this content accessible via
Window-eyes. Any thoughts?

Best wishes

RE: Flash problems

2016-01-26 Thread Karyn Campbell via Talk
Simon,

Unfortunately WE does not fully support flash content. I ran into some
issues with the quiz portion of some on-line training at work and had to
complete the quiz stuff at hoem with the competition as it better supports
flash.

There are moving parts to this issue as the entity who creates the flash
content must make it accessible and Adobe Systems does not make this easy.
This tells you that there are at least two additional moving parts in
addition to WE.

My husband knew immediately what was going on when he saw the content from
my training and knew this was a flash issue.

Yes, yes yes! This has not happened until I upgraded to 9.3, but it
doesn't happen with all sites, I don't think. I know that it happens with
one sight: www.rollye.net, when I go into the downloads section, and I want

Hi, when using the context menu key to copy a link to the clipboard we will
lock up, this happens just about 100% of the time. In most cases I can never
get we back and hve to reboot the computer.

1 cursor to a a link and press context menu key and press t then enter to
copy the link to the clipboard.
Some times we crashes the minute you use the key and some times when you
press "t"

You can also try and rout the mouse pointer to the link and right click,

Any ideas? For this to be happen so often I've had to resort to other screen

Untrue. I mostly use the official iOS and Android apps which are quite
accessible. But I also use
m.facebook.com
which again is quite accessible. Since I have a Mac, there are third party apps
that interface with Facebook. Current, a paid app, is one of them and I use it.
Again this is quite accessible.

One thing in Becky, with window-eyes, you can hear the progress
indicator when a message goes out, and there is an "out box" which is
only use for messages in transit, where under that same folder is
"sent mail," where only "sent" messages are stored.

Matthew, is there a status line in Becky? for example, after sending

folder for that, or does Becky save them on my machine by default?
Thanks for any help.

Re: web mail question

2016-01-26 Thread net bat via Talk
i would use gmail. it has a better spam filter and it is more secure then yahoo
mail.
yahoo mail has been hacked so many times because of there poor security
practices.
gmail can also be configured to be downloaded with wlm useing i map. doing so
your messages would be sinked between all your devices that have the same
account on them.
but unless gmail has changed you would need help to sign up because it uses a
captcha to confirm you are not a bot trying to hack there system.

Re: email client for win ten

2016-01-26 Thread Matthew Chao via Talk
The Sent folder saves messages you sent out to others; sometimes one
needs to refer back to them, such as in a warranty dispute, e.g., I sent
you a message about this issue on such and such a date. A neat trick,
as you can refer to a specific message when you need to - a high-tech
way of documentation.--Matthew Chao

Subject: Windows live mail and windows 10

Hi,
I have installed WLM 2012 on a new windows 10 PC with Windoweyes.
I did not find a newer version - acces to the menue structure is very poor
I did not find a set file or app to improve situation.

Reading and sending mail is no problem.
On my old - Vista - PC I used Outlook Express with no problems.
Please advise.
Klaus
