You say that many work places will not trust NVDA. I actually have notfound all that many who are willing to even Hire someone blind, and even fewer who know what a Screen Reader is used for, let alone actually know there are several companies that make a Screen Reader, one of them being NVDA. Some know of Jaws, but not much more than the name Jaws.
