RE: Opening Web Links in Becky

2016-01-19 Thread Tim Grady via Talk
Doesn't work for me. No browser opens up. I wonder if there is some
security issue. Also, can someone explain to me how to add the subject to
the message index list?

Hi, Folks. Have been using Thunderbird and Becky alternatively to decide
which one I'll stick with over the long-term. I've noticed that when using
Becky, I can't seem to open any URL links that are in the email. How do i
get Becky to do this? In contrast, Thunderbird allows me to go to the URL
while in the email which has that URL. Thanks in advance.--Matthew Chao

Re: Opening Web Links in Becky

2016-01-14 Thread Reg Webb via Talk
For accessing mails which have primarily been designed to read
on the Web, rather than as plain text, if I tab from the open message,
there is usually a file called something like text to HTML. If you
press the applications key or right click on that, one of the menu
options is open with. Pressing enter on that gives you a list which, in
my case at least, includes Firefox. Selecting that gets me the Web
based email properly displayed with all its links.

I move the cursor onto the URL then press the shift and F10 keys which
brings up a menu with the option to open a URL, press enter and then
another screen opens up asking if I want to connect to this web site
with the option of yes or no which can be reached with the tab key.

I put the cursor on the link and use the applications key choosing open
link. First, a dialog comes up warning that opening links could be
dangerous, etc.

Best regards,
