Hi Marc, I do not post much and when I do it is usually with a question. You have answered some of those questions and no matter how obvious my question may be to many on this list, you have always given thoughtful, thorough, well written responses. I add my name to the many others on this list who are sorry to see you leave, but know that wherever you go in the future, you will make technology for the blind easier by informing and instructing sighted people about making websites accessible to everyone. Marc, It has been a pleasure seeing you at conventions, learning from you both in person and on email. Vicky and I still tease about my being her mother. I nearly could be. You have simplified so much for people, and I suspect (with no confirmation) that you've made a good decision for you and family. How's that adorable little girl? Thanks for all you do. Re: Saying goodbye
I join the chorus of WE users in wishing you well with your new venture. Very timely! Chase has redone their web page interface and I find it awkward and unfriendly. I've spoken with their techies about various issues and they mumble something, and nothing constructive happens affecting my WE 9.5 reader. Remind these Chasers that we WE folks use our credit cards and if the web interface is a problem there are other bankers who wouldn't mind taking on new customers ... Marc, I will miss you and your patient, competent help on this list. It has been a pleasure attending your well-constructed webinars over the years. The objectives were always clear, the explanations understandable and the material timely. I loved those helpful study sheets when my brain just couldn't absorb everything in a one-hour session. RE: Saying goodbye
Marc, Congradulations on the new job. It will be a new adventure for you in your life and I am sure you will do great things with your expertise. I want to thank you personally for the private tutoring sessions Jeremy Currie set up between you and I about three years ago. You were so patient and talked me through many issues I was having with Window Eyes and even taught me things I did not realize I could do with WE. With the guidance you gave me it stopped me from going with a competitor and I have stayed with Window Eyes. I continue learning many things about WE through the Talk list and your help has been greatly appreciated. So thank you again and best wishes on your new endeavor in life. Hi Mark, You definitly will be missed. Take care and "Live long and prosper". I will be keeping up my endeavours to ensure we try and get as much access as possible. Sadly I see more and more lack of progress in accessiblity over here in the uk. No matter what I will keep going through thick and thin. Take care and sincere thanks Mark for all you have done with accessibility issues. Dear Marc, I'm really crushed with your message, but so very happy for you and your family. You have been so wildly terrific to work with, and so respectful of my own needs, regarding the great screen reader you helped build. I am so grateful for all the assistance and guidance you have provided me. I really do hope to stay in touch.
