Hi Pam,

One thing that can cause unwanted speech with Window-Eyes is the tool-tips
speech setting.

You can tell when this is your problem, because you start hearing speech after
every line usually, and it's the same speech. Then, if you move your mose to
an empty corner of the window, this unwanted speech stops.

When that happens, it's reading the line the mouse is on, due to some confusion
over it being a tooltip, and it happens every time you press a cursor key. To
stop it, go into your settings, in the general group, and I think in the Other
group is a setting for reading tooltips, and you can set it to "off" and save
your settings.

Hth,

Chip

Subject: random repetition of subjectline

I don’t know why, but the subjectline of a message I’m reading will repeat once
or twice. The body of the message will start reading, and it will break up in
the middle so that it can repeat the subjectline. Why is this? And is there
anything I can do about this? I have the latest window eyes. Pam.
