Probably not relevant, but how are you deleting the trash messages? Are
you going through your context menu?

Hey guys,
OK i have never gotten this message before. I just tried to delete
about 200 messages. Thunderbird tells me that trash is full and can't
hold any more messages, it tells me the folder is full. So what do i
do, i deleted about a thousand messages, and it still tells me it's
full. If i delete about a thousand from trash and add 200 after i
deleted it, that's not full. Any ideas?

you might want to increase your space that thunderbird uses go to. alt t
for tools o for options and on the advanced section you need to choose
network and disc space tab until you hear the amount of disc space and
choose how much disc space you want to allow thunderbird to use. also
you might want to compact all folders .
