external hd with apps

hello, is there a good external hard drive to use that would be accessible 
either with wineyes or ios apps? i tried western digital and none of there 
products are accessible. i want to use the external hd as a cloud backup. if 
anyone has experience with this please email. thanks so much.

Do you mean a network based storage? As far as I know, there is no way to 
connect a drive via a Lightning connector. What are your requirements?
