[talk-au] Bus stops shelter and cover
Whilst surveying around Sydney I've noticed that many bus stops are already tagged as having a shelter. However many of these don't have a dedicated bus shelter though they are covered by a roof from an adjacent building. Would it be better to tag them as shelter=no and covered=yes? ___ Talk-au mailing list Talk-au@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au
[talk-au] Betty's Burgers - fast food or restaurant?
I am currently on holiday and stumbled upon the chain that is Betty's Burgers. I didn't go inside so could anyone tell me if these are restaurants or fast food outlets where you order at the counter? I've had a look at ones already mapped and they aren't tagged consistently. Happy to create an entry in the name suggestion index as I see there is already a Wikidata entry. ___ Talk-au mailing list Talk-au@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au
[talk-au] Path cutting through Wynyard Park though not visible at street level
I've noticed there there is a path that cuts through Wynyard Park. It's definitely not at the park / street level as per my note https://www.openstreetmap.org/note/3037890 At one end it is connected to a path that is underground, however the other end connects with a road at street level and I can't see any underground exit there. There is another path that also starts underground and then emerges at street level https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/296128125 ___ Talk-au mailing list Talk-au@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au
[talk-au] Tagging a house name
Whilst I was out surveying today I stumbled upon a building that had a street number but also a house name, as just above the entrance and door number it said Rivenhall. Now the question is should this be tagged as the name or addr:housename? I know the latter is common in the UK though I couldn't find anything about best practice in Australia. ___ Talk-au mailing list Talk-au@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au

What's the most appropriate way to map a single physical Royal Mail mailbox with two signs and references? I recently stumbled upon such a mailbox and created a POI for each sign / reference: https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/8214997322 https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/8215022917 However given the collection times are the same and it is just one physical mailbox would it be better to have a single POI with two references? ___ Talk-GB mailing list Talk-GB@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-gb
Re: [Talk-GB] Solar panels on Alvares House in Homerton
I have conducted some more surveys of the area and neither from street level or looking from a neighbouring building am I able to see a play area so it's possible it's a rooftop play area and not accessible by non residents of the building. [Talk-GB] House number ranges that are only odd or even
Is there a way when specifying a range for addr:housenumber to indicate it's only for even or odd numbers? When walking around my local area I have come across some blocks that will have a sign indicating for example house numbers 1 to 21 odd only. Similarly when there is just one building drawn for a whole street of terrace houses the number range will only be or odd even depending on the side of the road. ___ Talk-GB mailing list Talk-GB@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-gb
