Poderia ser muito bom ter uma aplicação assim em java Mesmo assim, a decisão de abrir era sempre postergada porque precisávamos nos organizar primeiro. Era necessário estruturar o código atual de forma que o mesmo fosse mais facilmente reusado e de forma também com que algumas rotinas proprietárias fossem protegidas. Passamos os últimos seis meses trabalhando nisso e agora chegamos ao término. WikiCrimes está pronto para ser aberto. Eu penso é que demorou demais e acabou perdendo um pouco o tempo histórico,hoje se tem o mapbox aberto https://github.com/mapbox/tilestream a api do gmaps já tem ampla documentação e muita facilidade de colaboração. Creio que o desafio enquanto projeto aberto é exatamente contornar as necessidades das rotinas proprietárias citadas no post. Caros, estamos no Hackathon da Câmara Municipal, trabalhando com alguns dados de proposições de lei. Uma das coisas que queriamos fazer era 'georeferenciar' as proposições e visualizar mapas de influências. Não manjo muito de processamento de linguagem natural e coisas afins. Alguém tem alguma luz de como extrair os endereços das ementas? Elas não seguem um formato muito específico... mas acho que tem elementos comuns o suficiente pra gente montar uma regra que funcione bem... mas antes de partir pruma série de regexes doidos, achei que valia um alô. Especially in Brasilia's outskirts but more than anything in the surrounding cities (Itapoã, Sobradinho, Planaltina, Gama, Águas Lindas, São Sebastião) there is tons to map. Opa, pra quem for de sampa e cercanias, a gente vai subir com o ônibus hacker no dia 16 e voltamos 19. A ideia é ir pra lá participar do Hackday que estamos organizando - vamos ter uma sala 24h durante os 2 dias de evento pra hacking... se alguém tiver interesse, da um toque :) Estamos também com uma casa alugada lá.
