[OSM-talk] Problem with edit tab on OSM.org

2012-02-08 Thread Borbus
This has been annoying me for a while now. My default edit is set to be
remote control (for JOSM). Some time ago a change happened on osm.org
and the behaviour of the edit tab was changed.

The old behaviour when I clicked on edit was that it would activate some
javascript which would do its magic to get JOSM to download the current
section. Now upon clicking the web browser is sent to
osm.org/edit? and then the javascript makes JOSM edit.

The annoying thing about this is that now whenever that page is
refreshed, or the back button is used to go back to it, JOSM will be
remote controlled again. Often I will be editing somewhere else in
JOSM, browse osm.org for something then all of a sudden JOSM will have
downloaded the area I was working on earlier because I somehow ended up
back on that /edit page again. It can be quite annoying.

It would be nice to have the old behaviour back if possible.

Thanks,
