[talk-au] Just watching the offroad rally in nsw....
and something occurred to me, the sorts of roads that we've been trying to get those eurocentric people to understand do exist in Europe, they aren't tracks but they exist in Europe and other places where they do these rallies. We probably just have more of these sorts of roads. So I guess this is something we could use as an example in future when, not if, it comes up again. ___ Talk-au mailing list Talk-au@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au
[talk-au] Relation:destination_sign
I looked at this page http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Relation:destination_sign after reading a diary entry. http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/SK53/diary/7796 My first thought Don't they have vandals over there? However, it's more useful than recording road surfaces. ___ Talk-au mailing list Talk-au@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au

[talk-au] 4wd only, not just an aussie thing.
While looking through the symbols on this page: http://www.nps.gov/hfc/carto/map-symbols.htm Or more specifically the PDF of symbols: http://www.nps.gov/hfc/carto/symbols/map_symbols.pdf I noticed something curious, one of the icons has next to it: 4-wheel-drive road So the US NPS also has 4wd only roads on their books. ___ Talk-au mailing list Talk-au@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au
