[talk-au] transperth GTFS
Hi Folks, I've just moved here and discovered that I need to get tagging around shelley / rossmoyne areas of Perth, WA. however I see there's a distinct lack of bus stops mapped - but transperth have the data available in GTFS[1] format with a reasonable-looking licence from their website[2] I saw there was a NSW thread about GTFS feeds last month, but is anyone working on importing the other states, or even just Perth? Re: [talk-au] Adding only part of a road to a route relation (was: network and route tags)
Also (if using Potlatch), a useful shortcut you may not know about is Shift-R. That will copy all the relations from the last selected way to the current one. How do a I select only a section of the fire road (not the full length of it) so I can make the relationship to the route? You'd need to cut the fire road into 2 (or perhaps 3) and then add the relation to only the relevant bit. In Potlatch (the online editor on the OSM website) you can do this by clicking on the node that you want to split it at and pressing x. Here's an example (not in Australia, but the same principle applies): http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=53.13304lon=-1.78357zoom=16layers=C Here Highfield Lane is split into two. The eastern part is added to the relation for cycle route 54; the western part isn't. Welcome to Perth! :-) I saw there was a NSW thread about GTFS feeds last month, but is anyone working on importing the other states, or even just Perth? I'm not. I just wonder around sometimes taking photos of them; as a result, you'll see Freo is pretty poorly done! - Sam. ___ Talk-au mailing list Talk-au@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au
