Regarding

contact:mail

~ 120uses.. no wiki page and no mention of it on the contact page.

The contact page also says other tags are more popular.

However for mail there appears to be little use other than mail:franked 
(no wiki page)


mail:stamped mail:first_class etc I assume this is something to do with 
posting not the address that a place uses.




All in all a bit of a mess.

If something is implied then it is not specific.

What the wiki actually says is:

   addr:housename
   The name of a house.
   This is sometimes used in some countries like England instead of
   (or in addition to) a house number.

which does *not* imply that if there is a addr:housenumber there
should be no addr:housename, but on the contrary indicates that the
two properties can be used at the same time.

implies that you should not add house name if you add house number, but I
agree it's not generally useful in terms of delivering mail in Australia.

I think addr:full=* sounds great as I can think of at least 5
examples where that can help off the top head straight away.

And it probably works better with house names as name=* but that does
result in it showing up on the render at specific zoom levels. I don't know
if that happened with addr:housename=* as well though.
