For that matter, the various variants aren't listed as meeting the Open 
Definition[1].


If the data provider is unwilling to go with a standard license, they 
really need to explicitly indicate compatibility with other standard 
licenses.

[Talk-ca] Winnipeg Open Data portal

The City of Winnipeg has a new open data portal. 

The licence looks very close to the Canadian Open Data licence. It redefines 
the scope to Winnipeg within Manitoba, and defines “personal information” 
according to Manitoba law.
